The Actual Process
You need a photo editor like Photoshop or Paint.net, and take the image that looks like a FS2004 splash screen and open it into either image editor then open your screenshot you want to use and the dlgsplash maker file .When you have both of them open copy the screenshot (notice if you have the snapper program it will make a sound). and then copy the dlgsplash maker and paste into new layer.and say expand canvas or fill canvas and then it will make the image fit onto the square FS2004 splash screen and there you have made one!!. Repeat this process as many times as you like and have time for.
***Common Mistakes
Take into account that you want something really good. nothing that's covered in text over top of the image. You are looking for something that stands out or is really amazing. Stay away from images with anything on them like when you put your name on a flighisim image or atc info or anything blocking the screen or picture...Think of pics that stand out as run-ins and perfect for this, ones that others have remarked at and said something about in a positive way, like "hey that ones great" or "outstanding" also. Just try to keep away from these types of images that not only have text but may also be not centered or something else.

The Final Step
Make sure you save file and flatten it too. it will make it a lot nicer to look at. You can upload a bunch of them at flightsim.com and don't forget to zip them to a zip file. The better they look the easier it will be on the eyes. keep up the good work!!
Don't forget to make a* txt file called "read me" and include youre email(s) so that others can contact you and others can see who made it!!

Oh and also if you finish one heres what it should look like!(minus the fact the original pic was not blended)!
I blended or "faded" the image in paint.net to make it look earthy and then slapped the dlgsplash on top of it!!
